The Guu Villas: Booking & Cancellation Policy

Standard Booking Policy

We understand that from time to time, situations arise that require an amendment or cancellation of a booking. Please note our booking and cancellation policies and note that we encourage you to consider travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes in travel plans.

Payment: Deposit amount (50%) is charged at time of booking, whereby a payment receipt & booking confirmation will be emailed to the guest upon funds arriving in our Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) account OR other nominated & agreed upon account. The balance owing (50%) is due at/or before the check-in date.

How do I change or cancel my booking? Please make changes or cancel your booking with the same booking channel that it was originally made: direct to The Guu Villas, Booking.Com, Airbnb, or other as necessary.

Date Changes: Amendments to bookings can be made if more than 30 days prior to your arrival date (only if availability of Villa Chang-Guu allows for adjustment without affecting any other guests’ bookings). Amendments cannot be made less than 30 days prior to your arrival date and may be considered a ‘cancellation’.

Cancellations:

Cancellations made greater than 30 days before arrival / check-in date will be given a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival will forfeit the total deposit amount (equal to 50% of the total booking fee) and will not receive any refund.

If guests fail to arrive or do not stay for the full number of booked nights, no refund will be provided.

*Special COVID Fully Flexible Booking policy: Change of date or full refund is offered on bookings where guests are unable to travel due to illness or enforced travel restrictions related to COVID, with changes permitted up to and including day of arrival.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By visiting www.theguuvillas.com you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.  It is our intention that this policy will protect your personal information from being dealt with in any way that is inconsistent with applicable privacy laws in Thailand.

By contacting us, using our services, or visiting our website, which is owned and controlled by us (“our site”), you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Internet Privacy Policy unless you inform us otherwise.   We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify or remove portions of this Internet Privacy Policy at any time. This Internet Privacy Policy is in addition to any other terms and conditions applicable to the web site. We do not make any representations about third party web sites that may be linked to the web site.

Information you give us

Personal information about visitors to our site is collected only when knowingly and voluntarily submitted. You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial information; personal description; dietary requirements; allergies.

With regard to visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information – technical information, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and general analytics data.

Information we receive from other sources

We may receive information about you from third parties such as online travel agents or booking engines. When that data is collected from you, you should be informed by those third parties at that stage that it may be shared internally by us and combined with data collected from multiple sources. We also work with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.  We may engage third parties to provide you with goods or services on our behalf. In that circumstance, we may disclose your personal information to those third parties to meet your request for goods or services.

Use of Information

Personal information that visitors submit to our site is used only for the purpose for which it is submitted or for such other secondary purposes that are related to the primary purpose. Copies of correspondence sent from the web site, that may contain personal information, are stored as archives for record-keeping and back-up purposes only.
